Teacher: Good morning, children! I am very happy to see you today, because our party is related to the most beautiful and favourite holiday in the world – Christmas!
Christmas is the most popular public holiday of the year. It is celebrated on the 25th of December by Christians all over the world. The word “Christmas” is derived from the words “Christ’s Mass” – the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas in Britain is a holiday with Christmas tree, Christmas carols, wonderful candles, Christmas pudding, Christmas turkey, pantomimes and a big Christmas tree on Trafalgar Square which is usually brought from Norway as a present for English children.
Today we have unusual lesson. It will be lesson-competition. We have two teams: Snowflakes and Snowballs. All the tasks will be connected with Christmas. We’ll learn new facts about Christmas and sing songs.
So, we hope that you’ll enjoy this holiday, and have a good time. Let’s start with a well-known song “Jingle Bells”. All the guests are welcome to join us.

Step. Christmas Puzzle. Pupils find Christmas words from the puzzle.
Step. Christmas Sentences. Pupils put the words in order and make up the sentences.
Step. Christmas Game. Siamese Twin-Gift. Two pupils from each team should gift wrap the present. First pupil can use right hand and another only left hand. The quickest team is winner.
Step. Snowflakes. Teams makes snowflakes. Judges choose the best one.
